Week Ending 10/19/12 S&P 500, Asset Class & Sector Performance

If you were able to tune out all of the drama in the financial media this week then you were probably able to notice that it was a pretty good week for the broader market.  Value stocks, both domestic and foreign, had very good weeks.  Obviously Google (GOOG) dominated the headlines, but the market demonstrated that it made it through the first full week of earnings season pretty well.
